Yukon,

Thanks for the quick reply. I have been in the CA ANG for almost five years and would be putting on staff next month. However, since I am transitioning into the active duty AF I will be coming in as an E-4. I have been attached to an active duty squadron with no break in orders form the day I graduated tech school in June of 2013.

If you guys have females in your class, you have to post about it on here. I'm dying to know how team dynamics change.

I have no clue at this time. My internet is when I can get it these days and I'm often out of roaming range of cell phone connection due to living my bucket list of traveling by RV to where ever wind and whims move me.

The connection is I will be visting the courses to get FaceTime updates of all the changes.

Bowldsy, what did you find out about the phase II assessment? Are you enlisted or commissioned side? Because I know officers go to phase II, but I didn't think enlisted was attending it.

KBroUSAF, I am enlisted, so unless there was a mistake in my application it lookes like all prior service will attend a phase II. The email I got from the CFM stated

"The goal of the 1T2X1 retrainee assessment is to gauge the physical, intellectual, psychological, and leadership capabilities of retraining applicants. This assessment will provide an estimate of the individualís likelihood of success in the Pararescue training pipeline and will be used as a tool for the approval and timing of all applicants entering training. It is required prior to assignment of a training line number (open seat) to Pararescue training. This will reduce pipeline attrition and maximize the return from a limited quantity of training quotas."

My initial question was in regards to the timeline after completing phase II/ dev course. But after looking around I found a post that Yukon uploaded on 5/15/2015 about the dev course. Where it stated that the dev course is set up to lead into the start of indoc. So the dev course is from 13 MAR until 18 MAR. And im guessing that indoc would start that next week.

@bowldsy I am in the upcoming Dev/Indoc course. The dates are 14Mar-25Mar for DEV and 28Mar-27May for Indoc. This is official per AFPC. I am pretty sure I am the last quota that did not have to attend the assessment course. I was a prior student at Indoc so it's possible that was the reason or it is simply it was not implemented when I was accepted. The Dev course is mandatory to attend Indoc and further pipeline courses so if the dates for the assessment are the 13th through the 18th then what is most likely the case is you will return to homestation, find out if you are selected, then receive a class seat or quota. It doesn't make sense for you to join the Dev course half way through not for AFPC to allocate slots that quickly if the point of the assessment course is to vet candidates

This is speculation though. I could be wrong and there could be a change in policy. Maybe the CFM will shed more light on the subject. Good luck and hope to see you at Medina.
